Nazim is an accomplished user experience strategist and new media specialist with more than ten years of experience in user experience, creative direction, information architecture, interactive brand strategy, user research, creative production and delivery spread across Web, Mobile and Social Media. He is competent to operate at strategic, creative and team level to define and deliver solutions that leverage the power of design, interactivity and content to achieve marketing, communication and user experience goals.
With Sapient as associate creative director over the last 2 years he has set up the mobile user experience team in India and delivered a number of mobile applications & mobile sites. Foremost of them is the Sapient’s first eCommerce mobile application for NikeiD for which he was responsible for setting up the team, running the program and the successful delivery of the project. He was also instrumental in delivery of the Sapient India’s first project – the HT Media web presence; by understanding and customizing Sapient global creative production and project processes for the Indian market.
Before Sapient he was part of the core team that formed Interactive Avenues and was solely responsible for setting up the web development team & department. He provided vision, business direction and industry insight to the division and mentored a strong team culture. As part of the team he provided inspiration for designing and delivery of some engaging experiences for brands like Coca-Cola India, NIIT, John Players, Dockers and Wipro.
With close to eight years of hands on consulting experience in the web and digital domain, he is proficient at defining vision for projects and team and designing user interaction and experiences. He has worked on a number of accounts and brands in the India, Dubai and North America markets, some of which are – Asia Philips, Economic Development Board of Singapore, Wills Lifestyle, Maruti Suzuki, ITC Welcomgroup, Hotel Radisson, Tupperware India, Samsung India, Nokia, Hewlett Packard, HCL, KSA Technopak, Pepsi, Bin Hendi, LG Gulf, Electrolux, Eicher, GSK, SKF, General Motors, Coca-Cola India, HT Media, Goodby-Sprint, Citi Bank Taiwan, Octopus, TD Canada Trust, Dockers, Wipro, John Players, Miss Players and NIIT.
Over the years even though he has played multiple roles from creative lead to interactive copywriter, brand strategist, creative director, user experience lead, information architect and interactive project manager, his success lies in consistently making user experience the center of the creative and production process across teams and organizations.
Nazim is a Post Graduate in Mass Communication and have Human Computer Design & Evaluation certification for IIT Bombay. He is an active participants in human computer interaction design forums and conferences in the NCR region. The other areas of his interest are semiotics, emotional design, culture and environment and he is currently probing the role of emotion in social media.
